Abstract:
Digital inclusion facilitates access to health information and can contribute to making informed health decisions. But there is still an age group that does not have the digital proficiency to use these tools, the elderly. Therefore, this project aims to evaluate the influence of online training of technological resources on the digital proficiency of the older adults. The sample of this study will be made up of older adults living in Famalicão, based on the last population census. The older adults will be contacted by the research team, who will carry out 2 interviews: 1) at home, where the older adult who uses the internet will be identified and the aim of the study, that they will be invited to take part, will be explained; 2) by telephone (those who accept), to collect data on sociodemographic data, health indicators, digital proficiency and to schedule an assessment of cardiorespiratory parameters. The older adults will then take part in the online training with 12 sessions, and will be reassessed at the end.
